Our history

How it all started..

Unique IQ's workforce management software was born out of a desire to develop an affordable solution that effectively addresses the headaches inherent to mobile workforce management. Incorporating our advanced technical knowledge and detailed understanding of the challenges of managing a remote workforce, we are now recognised as an innovative and forward thinking organisation.

Founded in 2006 by CEO David Lynes, Unique IQ successfully operates across a range of sectors, with a specific focus on home care. We are rapidly growing and recognised for our top drawer customer service. With a legacy of many years at the forefront of the technology industry, Unique IQ operates both nationally and internationally and places a premium on honesty, commitment and teamwork.

We make remote workforce management easy and understand that managing remote staff effectively not only assists you in gaining greater control and transparency of your remote workforce, but improves communication with staff and reduces unnecessary paperwork, thus reducing costs.

CEO and Founder

David is the founder and CEO of Unique IQ Limited and has built the company up over the last 15 years to the success it is today. He has overall responsibility for the growth of the business as well as overseeing the sales and marketing functions. With a real passion for the care sector, David’s vision for Unique IQ is to create software solutions that address the challenges inherent with remote working; for carers in particular, this means making their working lives easier, safer and more productive, in turn creating tangible benefits for the people they care for. In addition, David is a Young Enterprise business advisor and is regularly asked to speak at events across the UK due to his vast experience in providing end to end software solutions. When he isn’t working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and family.

Cheryl joined Unique IQ in October 2015 with a vast experience in Senior Account Management and process management, having been in the IT industry for a number of years. Following just a year into the role, it became apparent that her experience, commitment and attitude was pivotal to the company and so was promoted to Operations Director in 2016. Cheryl spends her days overseeing all operational functions including the Development Team and Service and Support Teams and is ultimately responsible for service delivery. Cheryl assists David in helping drive the business forward and when not at work, likes shopping, socialising and spending time with her young family.

Phil is Unique IQ’s Finance Director, overseeing all aspects of financial control and accounting. He’s worked in a variety of finance roles for over 25 years, so brings with him a great deal of experience from a number of different industries, as well as from businesses that are backed by venture capital.

In his spare time, Phil is a keen golfer, and enjoys cooking and travelling to new places.

Elanor is a client services professional with seven years' experience as an Account Manager in the digital and tech world. She acts as a strategic partner for our clients, working to understand their business, interrogate their requirements, and make their experience working with Unique IQ as smooth as possible.

Ellie is a not-so-secret history geek, and spends her free time sewing her own historical costumes and taking part in living history events around the country.

As a Project Manager / Business Analyst, Nigel’s main responsibility is to support our clients’ migration to our systems and help them maximise the benefits. Nigel has a wealth of IT experience gained over 35 years within the financial services industry. His interest moved to the care sector in 2015 and he has worked with over 50 care agencies since then. Alongside his role at Unique IQ, he has an ongoing advisory / operational role at three care agencies and is therefore well aware of the day-to-day challenges that our clients face.

Away from work, Nigel enjoys watching sport, primarily football and speedway, and is a season ticket holder at Aston Villa.

Keeley joined Unique IQ in November 2018 as Client Services Manager. A consummate customer services professional, Keeley is the friendly voice at the end of the phone who deals with our support calls. If there’s an issue, query or suggestion with one of our products, she’s the person to speak to.

In her spare time, Keeley likes to while away the evening in her hot tub, along with her partner, step-children and a cheeky prosecco.
